Life Story Work
Life Story Work is a flexible, child-centred approach that helps children process their experiences in a safe, supportive environment. We are proud to offer this service to parents, carers and their families at Buzz.
What is Life Story Work?
At Buzz, we offer Life Story Work to help children understand and process their experiences in a safe, supportive environment. Life Story Work is a flexible approach designed to meet the needs of each child. It can be particularly helpful when:
- There has been a long gap since the child last saw a parent.
- A child feels their voice isn’t being heard in co-parenting decisions.
- A child experiences anxiety about spending time with a parent they don’t live with.
Our Life Story Work service
Words and Pictures – Using creative methods, we help children express their experiences and feelings through drawing, writing, and storytelling. This approach supports emotional understanding and self-expression.
Wishes and Feelings – These sessions give children a safe space to share their thoughts, hopes, and worries. By exploring emotions in a structured way, children can feel heard and validated.
